The Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) is a 501(3)(c) not-for-profit educational organization. Support is provided by the best of Connecticut's and this nations business and education community. Our board is all volunteer, and the program is not mandated in the schools, and is voluntarily integrated into each school.
We are hosted by UConn's school of Engineering, which saves the CIC tremendous costs of a host facility, in addition to the great Science & Engineering Exhibits open to all. We are Funded by donation dollars and In-Kind support by these exceptional donors:. Sustaining Gold & Platinum Donors:

Donated Awards for 2008: In addition to the awards that the CIC presents, a number of organizations present special awards for inventions in a particular area of interest: Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering: Grade 7 & 8 Excellence in Invention. Connecticut Fire Marshal's Association: Fire Prevention/Safety Awards Microsoft: Accessibility Award, for inventions to help the handicapped McCormack, Paulding & Huber Award - a Patent Search and Application (if patentable) Award to one worthy Invention. ASM International Materials and Technology Awards - Three $50 Dollar Savings Bonds Connecticut Environmental Forum - Environmental Technology Award - Three $100 Savings bonds. CT Safety Society, Savings Bonds for Safety related invention United State Postal Service, commemorative stamps Stanley Innovation Awards, $100 savings bonds for innovations of existing tools. Yankee Invention Exposition, $50 savings bond, and a Marketing booth at the next Yankee Invention Exposition in October 2008 Artioli Family Inspirational Award, for a worthy inventor whose invention was inspired by a family member or friend in need. This award is provided by the Artioli family, whose family is grateful to the CIC by providing an opportunity for their son (Deryk) to invent a device inspired by a need of his brother when he was sick.
