Judge_Registration_Information

At the CIC, students are separated into groups of approximately ten, and their inventions are reviewed by their peers and two or three judges.

Judge Registration processes open March 15, 2010 and end April 15, 2010.  We provide Judge Training the day of event to help standardize the process across the 70 or more Judging Circles.  We also pair new Judges with experienced judges to make the effort as easy and productive for the children and judges both.

Over 150 judges, including engineers, scientists, educators, attorneys, entrepreneurs, marketing and other professionals serve at the CIC.

This year, NEW Judges should plan on registering at 8:15AM at Castleman Hall, while EXPERIENCED Judges plan on registrering at 9:00AM at Castelman Hall.  This will avoid those already learned in the Judging Arts to avoid repetitive lectures.  IT IS NECESSARY FOR ALL JUDGES TO LISTEN TO 15 MINUTES OF NEW END OF JUDGING PROCESSES after registration.  This will begin promptly at 9:15AM.   Coffee and pastries are served.

Judge Registration Process:

Prospective Judges may register on-line and help streamline the process by following this simply on-line process.  If you have problems with your company or personal servers due to firewall issues, contact: custservice@mblast.com so.  This Internet Application is on a Secure Server, and data will not be shared with Marketers or others not authorized by CIC.

-  Follow the process on the left after you hit the START button, on the Judge Registration online system.  If you have issues with noting your company affiliation you may use "Self-Employed" or  "Connecticut Invention Convention" as your affiliation.

-  Should you enter a new company name, and multiple prospective judges enter after you, you may receive a notice that YOU ARE ADMINISTRATOR for the newly added company.  Please  DISREGARD THAT NOTICE...  You do not have to do anything for new entrants, since ALL prospective Judges are ACCEPTED automatically.  This is simply an Auto-Generated email used in the root application and cannot be turned off at this point.  It  will be fixed in Version 2. of the CIC utility.

EMAIL VERIFICATION  will be sent to your email address, after this quick initial step.

VERIFY you are you, and your login ID is proper.  Then LOGIN to  begin to enter your Judging Information, your student grade preference, or the fact you may be a special awards provider.   Further instructions will be sent via email as the process is followed, after the students register and after we have all the children divided into Judging Circles.
